Surpassing the Beeline delves into the stories of expat communities across Amsterdam (NL), Fribourg (CH), Adelaide (AUS).

The experiences of expats are rarely brought up in discussions on migration. Immigration history, mainly written in the countries of arrival, has mostly focused on the problematic policies and experiences of entry, acceptance, rejection and/or placement of newcomers, while expats bypass this because of their economic status and privilege. Their past, present and sense of 'home' are completely intertwined as they continually move from one country to another. The emigrant from one country, is the immigrant from another.
